I think Jbook is probably referring to Chaz Coleman with this post. Calling him a difference maker is a poor take. Guy had 1 sack as a freshman and still needs a ton of work, he's far far from a sure fire difference maker

i think youre missing my point a bit….he really didn’t have any need to come to OSU except to develop and get better.

He got bypassed on the chart but has been a good teammate. This is a kid who could’ve just entered the draft and made decent money as a 2nd or 3rd rd draft pick.

He came to OSU and it just hasn’t worked out…..unless he crushes this offseason and makes a mark.

Call me crazy, but he hasn’t entered portal yet. I think he still has a place in our roster…..we’ll see.

He’s out of eligibility.
I tend to think he would have been exposed at NFL workouts, but we’ll never know.

Agreed! And thats almost why im not sold on them over spending for Perich. I think many are sleeping on Faheem Delane. I think he can come in and replace Downs next year opposite McClain

They did. He was the backup G almost all season and couldn't even Crack the RG rotation by mid season. Became just a body(an expensive one)

105 players per team by rule
14,280 players
3,300 in portal now, could go up could stay flat, who knows?

That is 2.3% of the population. Sound a lot less eyeball grabbing that way doesn't it? Every team might not have the full 105? Ok, fine, fucking double it (you'd be over estimating) but let's double it.

"Over 95% of the D1 football players in 2025 are staying with their team" just doesn't have that same-whiny ass, look how bad everything is, the sport is collapsing, let's get the government involved, please click on my click bait- ring to it now does it?

I put a lot of trust in Mark Pantoni, so let’s give him some space to work…..I hope. His job is more important than ever before.

I’ve got a list of incredible players that produced at lower levels that wouldn’t cost much.

Exactly. Which is why you pay for Koi who had 5 INT as a true freshman and then fell off this year when they changed coordinators and lost skill.

Spend money on the guys who have proven it. Chaz would be great but 1 sack is not proof of anything. Much prefer proven guys whether that’s MAC kids or power 5.

Side note, I wonder if Atkinson could move to DT?

I agree. We have Pierce too so I don’t think the money is best spent there.

According to Birm, OSU has not confirmed there’s a visit and it was the PITT players camp saying that to drum up interest.

I’m fascinated with the direction they’ll go. I think players like Grady at DE could make that jump next year to be a starter. But there’s no denying we need depth and depth that can contribute

Are schools only supposed to contact the agent?

Is the player simply wanting to renegotiate with his current school?

Has he already decided where he is going?
