Ok, maybe I am missing something here so correct me if I’m wrong.
-I’m a football player, finish my season in December and want/need to transfer.
-The coaches are saying I have to wait for a 10 day window in January.
-While I still have to operate under the charade of going to school that means I have to enroll at the place I don’t want to be anymore so I’m still “in school” to then transfer out a month into the new semester?

How does that work for the players?

When have they ever considered that? They're stepping in more shit unless they transition to actual, collectively bargained, contracts.
