Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

https://n.rivals.com/news/alabama-rb-trey-sanders-enters-the-portal?ga_source=cm

Former 5star who’s been injured and would have no chance of seeing the field at Bama. It’s crazy how Saban has recruited nothing but top 5-10 RBs per class, and needed a former 3star transfer to take over the position and keep them competitive
Saban the last 2-3 years has been living off using the Transfer portal to fill any development holes they had. Didn't get a high end reciever this year for them unfortunately

Well Burton was highly ranked, but Sabans OL signees haven't stepped up like in the past. Young is constantly running for his life

Michigan QB Cade McNamara enters transfer portal

Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.

McNamara, who is from Reno, Nevada, can potentially play at another school for two seasons. He redshirted as a freshman in 2019 and the NCAA has given any student-athlete from the 2020-21 school year an extra year of eligibility.

Well, no surprise there.

With the extra COVID year, Hudson Card has 4 seasons of eligibility to play 3 years left. He was a 4 star recruit and the #2 duel threat QB in the country. He's not going to be happy just sitting behind Ewers and/or Manning for another 3 or 4 years. I look for him to transfer too, especially if he thinks he got "screwed over" and not really given a chance to compete for QB1 this year.

Sources: Texas QB Hudson Card to enter NCAA transfer portal

Texas quarterback Hudson Card, a former ESPN top-40 recruit, intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, sources told ESPN on Tuesday. He's a redshirt sophomore who will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.

Card was a highly regarded recruit out of high school, as he held offers from schools such as Alabama, Ohio State and Oregon.

Card can't officially enter the NCAA transfer portal until Monday, and he'd be immediately eligible to play after he transferred.

I know less about NIL than I do about how magnets work, but can see why NIL contracts shouldn't be conditioned on enrollment. However, I wouldn't think a local sponsor would want to sign a NIL contract that lasted more than a year at a time for just this reason. I could see why someone with a national brand like Nike might want to enter into a longer contract.
