Georgia Bulldogs redshirt sophomore offensive guard Cameron Kinnie has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Kinnie is a former three-star recruit out of Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia.
Kinnie redshirted during the 2020 season and did not appear in a contest during the 2021 season. Kinnie primarily played on Georgia’s scout team. He was projected as a depth player again in 2022.
Cameron Kinnie is likely looking for more playing time at his transfer destination. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman has the talent to play at a major college football program.
Kinnie singed with Georgia as a defensive tackle recruit in the class of 2020. He changed positions to the offensive line, but never saw the field. Georgia defensive tackles Nazir Stackhouse, Jalen Carter, and Warren Brinson were also members of the class of 2020.
It makes sense. Addison lost his QB to the NFL and this move will likely improve his draft stock next year.
Pitt fans are big mad at Lincoln Riley.
You don’t think they’ll soon be putting in restrictions on when the coaches can switch jobs?Good idea for who? Coaches wanting to put restrictions in place? The "gives them time to make an educated decision" line is some serious bullshit.
It's good for coaches to give them time to manage the roster or maybe talk a kid out of it. What benefit does the kid see from having to wait for a window to open up?
These coaches are something man. Jesus.
You don’t think they’ll soon be putting in restrictions on when the coaches can switch jobs?
In all seriousness, this NIL stuff really takes the joy out of CFB for me. Just me. I am sure ghat it does not affect many that way.
Bowman, a former five-star prospect, began his career at Clemson and ranked among the highest-rated transfers in college football ahead of the 2021 season when he landed at Florida. Bowman ranked as the No. 7 overall transfer in 247Sports' College Football Transfer Portal Top 150 last summer, and he was regarded in the 247Sports Composite Player Rankings and as a top-five running back within the 2020 cycle.
Bowman, much like his time at Clemson, saw an impact that was minimal with the Gators. He only received 14 carries in a Florida uniform, totaling 81 yards. Bowman recorded stats in just four games during the 2021 campaign, that ultimately ended with the Gators going 6-7 and firing coach Dan Mullen just a year after Mullen led Florida to an SEC Championship Game appearance. Billy Napier was tabbed as Mullen's replacement.
Prior to Florida, Bowman only carried the ball nine times in his lone season at Clemson — a stay that lasted two games before he entered the transfer portal, to be exact — in which he gained a total of 32 yards. But he was a five-star running back in the 247Sports Composite for a reason. The halfback is a true home-run hitter with 10.69-second 100-meter speed and has proven production (11.8 yards per carry as a high school junior) against high-level competition at Lakeland (Fla.) High.
