Look Who's Transferring Now (The Portal)

Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke enters transfer portal

Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has entered the transfer portal, he confirmed Monday night in a social media post.

"I want to thank the University of Miami, my teammates, coaching staff, and everyone associated with the University who have made this chapter in my life truly special and invaluable," Van Dyke wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "I have created lifelong friendships and memories, which I will always cherish. I am deeply appreciative of the opportunities and experiences that have shaped me during my time here.

"I am looking forward to the next chapter and what my future holds."

Van Dyke, a fourth-year junior for the Hurricanes, has been the starter since 2021, his redshirt freshman season, after taking over for an injured D'Eriq King.

He threw for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games in 2021. His performance that season earned him ACC Rookie of the Year and ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Michigan State QBs Katin Houser, Sam Leavitt to enter transfer portal

Michigan State redshirt freshman quarterback Katin Houser and true freshman quarterback Sam Leavitt both plan to enter the transfer portal once it opens on Dec. 4.

Kansas State QB Will Howard in transfer portal as graduate

Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, who helped the team to a Big 12 title in 2022 and started games in each of the past four seasons, entered the transfer portal Monday as a graduate.

Howard led Kansas State with 2,643 passing yards and 24 touchdowns with eight interceptions this season, completing 61.3% of his passes. After sharing time with Adrian Martinez to begin the 2022 season, he emerged as the Wildcats' top quarterback for their run to the conference title. Howard, who will have one year of eligibility left, has 5,786 career passing yards with 48 touchdowns -- a team record -- and 25 interceptions, as well as 934 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.

Baylor QB Blake Shapen plans to enter transfer portal

Baylor redshirt junior quarterback Blake Shapen told ESPN's Pete Thamel on Monday that he will enter the transfer portal once it opens on Dec. 4.

Shapen, who started 23 games for the Bears over three seasons, has at least one year of eligibility remaining and will be able to play immediately. He is looking to compete for a starting job at a winning program.

Like who? I don’t want any transfers but understand those that do.
Idk if we should name names in this thread, or take it to the rumor mill. Thoughts anyone?
Because I'm with @Jaxbuck , there are some names that I hope enter(not out of spite, but to make room for more talented and younger players)

This kid needs a look.

Started, graded higher than Simmons, and has 3 years left.

Btw? From Ohio.

Seriously go get them.
Givler on his podcast on Buckeye Huddle said that Smith will get a very serious look. It also helps OSU that he has a brother that is a walk on for the Buckeyes  . Smith can play LT or LG which is big IF Jackson leaves, but also can push Simmons
Zeke Correll from ND is another OL who will get a serious look. But he is primarily an interior OL.

Interesting to note that Coach Stud passed on both of these guys. Correll was offered, but barely pursued and Smith wasn't even offered...

And to give further proof to Stud ineptitude, instead of offering Smith, who had solid offers and wanted to be a Buckeye. Stud instead pursued and signed Avery Henry:bonk:(no knock on the kid personally, but Smith was a top 247 kid who actually played in 2gms as a true frosh, while Henry's career is pretty much over, and even if it wasn't, was closer to providing nothing more than depth)

@pnuts34 @RB07OSU or anyone else. Any thoughts on the QBs entering and do you see Day pursuing anyone?
I personally haven't seen any names that would make me interested as of yet. And even if he were to enter, I wouldn't want Arch Manning near this program... And I haven't seen any names of the caliber of Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, etc enter
I think between McCord, Brown and Kienholz you can have a very good QB room. And then throw Noland in the mix to learn

What say you, @RB07OSU ?
