Someone needs to correct me, but unless one is an NBA lottery pick, isn't $4 mil pretty much what a 2nd round pick would get? Also sounds like a .250 hitter asking for $40 mil to fail three out of four times....
1 transfer window right after the season ends. Kinda makes sense.
The bowl tie-ins and semesters starting in January for those wanting to join for spring practice make this a mess for football.

Agreed. Plus, they protect players whose coach leaves in the spring by providing them specifically an out whenever that happens. The other thing is, now teams like OSU will not have the same excuse as last year of not participating in the Crown or NIT because of the transfer portal being open.

South Carolina Gamecocks EJ Walker, Elijah Strong and Eli Ellis have been reported to be entering the transfer portal. Right now the Gamecocks have ZERO players that played in more than 40% of the team's minutes this season projected as returning. From a 13-19 team. OSU decommit Marcus Johnson, who signed with South Carolina last fall, had better bring an extra pair of shoes because he's going to be used a lot on that team.
