Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

Marcus Carr is returning to college and is in the transfer portal. OSU happens to have an open starting spot for a playmaking guard such as Carr. Just sayin ...

Just sayin': Actually he might be an up grade over Washington especially defensively. I wonder if Ohio State has had any contact with him and if he will actually graduate from Minnesota this summer (which could effect his decision on transferring).

Gophers star Marcus Carr withdraws from NBA draft, but doesn't plan to return to Minnesota

Former Gophers point guard Marcus Carr withdrew his name from the NBA draft on Wednesday, but he's not likely to return to the U, sources told the Star Tribune.

After testing the draft process, Carr's decision to come back to school was made after talking with his family and close friends. He was the No. 1 transfer available this spring.

New Gophers coach Ben Johnson and Carr had not been in contact since he entered the transfer portal in late March, but Carr still has to graduate from the university.

7’ Kofi Cockburn, who was a 2nd-team All-American & 1st-team All-Big 10, will enter the transfer portal, while keeping his name in the NBA Draft.

July 7: Deadline for an early entry player to withdraw from the draft and maintain their collegiate eligibility

He's got less than a week to decide: return to college or NBA draft. However, mark my words....the day will eventually come when a basketball player can keep his name in the draft and after the draft if he's not happy with the outcome can just refuse to sign a pro contract and return to college. This is basically what MLB does. MLB drafts high school graduates and college players, if they don't sign by a given date they (can still play college ball and) are just in the MLB draft again the next year, etc.
