Look Who's Transferring Now (The Basketball Portal)

Texas lands Oregon State leading scorer Jordan Pope in the transfer portal

Oregon State leading scorer Jordan Pope will transfer to Texas.

A 6-foot-2, 165-pound scoring guard out of Oakley (Calif.) Pope earned All Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors this past season after averaging 17.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game on 37 percent shooting from three-point range.

His decision comes after visiting Austin last week as he chose the Longhorns after strongly considering Texas A&M as an option.

Pope is the fourth portal addition for Rodney Terry this spring as he will join former Arkansas guard Tramon Mark and Indiana State Sycamores Julian Larry and Jayson Kent as the transfers on the Longhorns roster next season.

Ranked as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports college basketball transfer portal rankings, Pope has two years of eligibility remaining.
