USA to the top of the medals count. Currently at 77 medals to China's 76. China will get at least a silver in the Taekwondo women's flyweight, however, USA will get both gold & silver in women's beach volleyball. USA also in contention for two medals in the women's long jump going into the final round in 1st & 3rd place currently.

I'm really surprised China has hung this close this long, but, on the other had, I guess we're just now getting into the meat of actual finals in T&F.

Brittney Reese wins gold in the women's long jump & Janay DeLoach takes the bronze by 1 cm. That's six medals (Three gold, one silver & two bronze) in the past 30 minutes.

Misty May-Treanor & Kerry Walsh-Jennings won the 1st set 21-16 over April Ross & Jen Kessy. They are currently up 15-13 in the 2nd set.
