London Olympics: "We're pretty much ready..."

Maybe the coach shouldn't have switched him and Phelps and let Phelps swim the last leg....I thought Phelps kind of dissed him in the interview after the race saying that the things that count most in the relay are the first and last legs....

Phelps didn't swim last leg in 08 I believe. I personally would have had phelps anchor the leg, but I can understand the coach's logic.

Don't know if anyone is following, but the USA Boxing team was 4-0 so far after yesterday, and the dude from Cleveland won his first fight. Ramirerz's was really interesting (boxing is always on CNBC), lots of scoring, lots of points. Plus, unlike some of the gawd-awful commentary they have in most other sports, I actually like Teddy Atlas at the mic, I can really follow a fight that he is calling.

For those like me that are, ah, not a big fan of NBC's coverage, I give you...#NBCfail:

https://twitter.com/#!/search/#NBCfail?q=#NBCfail

Some of these are pretty good...examples:

"Ryan Lochte could cure cancer during a race & NBC would air it 6 hours later with the cure portion removed for a Seacrest interview"

"Kudos to NBC for steadfastly refusing to allow athletic competitions to get in the way of its Olympic coverage..."

I'm afraid that if I watch any Olympic boxing that our guys will start getting done over on some corrupt bullshit and I'll get pissed off.

lol those are good. I've hated the coverage so far. I mean the opening ceremony with Meredith was horrific and it seemed to go down hill from there.

I really wish it was considered acceptable to slap someone asking stupid questions.

Jim Gray was the absolute worst and deserved many justified punches for his interviews: "you trained your whole life only to be a complete failure, talk about that." This older blonde lady is nipping at his heels.
