LeSean "Shady" McCoy (RB Buffalo Bills)

Mccoy was named the AAAA state player of the year.

Link
CLASS AAAA: McCoy led the state in rushing for the second straight season with 2,828 yards. That gives the junior 5,750 yards and a strong shot at the record held by current Indianapolis Colt and former East Stroudsburg runner James Mungro.

McCoy racked up those totals despite early-season ankle troubles. He ran for more than 1,000 yards in four playoff games.

Art Walker of state champion Pittsburgh Central Catholic repeated as Coach of the Year.

LeSean will attend the "Elite College Combine" today. He says he attends these combines to keep his name in circulation and maintain a high ranking in the recruiting services. LeSean plans to make numerous unofficial visits this summer and hopes to learn about the coaches for whom he may play. He reiterated how important a relationship is with a coach and specifically mentioned the unavailability of Notre Dame Head Coach Charlie Weis as a disappointment.

OSU sounds like a bit of a consolation right now IMO

LeSean McCoy likes eight schools at the moment. What does he like about each?
</td></tr> <tr> <td colspan="3">
LeSean McCoy is one of the top prospects in America and one of the nation’s finest numbers and the senior to be from Harrisburg (Pa.) Bishop McDevit High School has the numbers to prove it. Over his sophomore and junior seasons he has rushed for over 5,300 yards and 61 touchdowns. Is there anymore the 6-0, 208 pound running back can do at this level? ”My main goal is to win a state championship,” said McCoy. “But I also want to break the all-time Pennsylvania state rushing record. James Munroe has it and I think I need 2,600 yards this season to break it.”

In regards to scholarship offers McCoy claims to have between “45 and 50”. For now he likes Georgia, Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Penn State, Ohio State and Virginia Tech.

“Georgia likes to feature the running back and they are looking for a big time feature back.

“Alabama runs the ball big time. I could see myself there.

“Southern Cal has all that running back tradition and they have such a great thing going right now.

“OU runs the ball well and I could sit a year and then take over for Adrian Peterson.

”Tennessee loves to feature the run and I really like their offense because it is so balanced.

“Penn State has always been on me and they are only an hour and a half away. They also have some top guys coming in and they could shock some people this season.

“Ohio State loves to pound the ball and they like the bigger backs like me.

”Virginia Tech runs the ball and they have had a lot of backs drafted in the NFL lately.

“Right now I am open and just looking at the depth charts because I would really like to play early.”

McCoy is not planning on camping at any schools this summer rather he and some teammates will make some unofficial visits to different campuses. He is not sure what schools he will see over the coming weeks.

Hmm, I wouldnt say so much a consolation. If he thinks coach relationship is important, he should love Tressel. Plus we've had some pretty good success in PA.

Plus, he's right: OSU is more of a power-back than a scat-back school anyhow.

In terms of depth chart, I still think he's slightly better off at OSU than a lot of his other schools. (Though with Beanie coming in...)

Don't give up on this champ!

LeSean McCoy(Official Offer)

http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/396880.html

Says that he is still considering us and is taking an unofficial visit here next week. He says the fact that we have Wells hurts us but could envision a situation like a Ronnie Brown-Cadillac Williams. I couldnt find a thread for him so you can redirect if there already is a thread on him.

I think we are a longshot but I figured I would post this for what it's worth.
