Les Miles (grass eater)

The loss could allow him to leave for TSUN after the SEC CCG, if they want him.

It wouldn't be unbearable to leave before a BCS bowl that not the title game.

LSU coach Miles' career could come full circle

Bo Schembechler tried everything he could to keep Les Miles away from Michigan.

Before the 1980 season Miles, who played for Schembechler in 1974-75, wanted to return to Ann Arbor.

He had graduated from U-M with an economics degree, but his private business life in Ohio didn't stimulate him like football.

So he begged Schembechler for a graduate assistant position -- even though it meant a massive pay cut and crazy hours.

And Miles made the first sale of his coaching career, on Schembechler.

"It's a thankless job and you really don't get to coach," then-Michigan assistant Bill McCartney recalled this week of Miles' first U-M football job. "From that point on, Miles was really humble and did whatever. Those guys had to make sure that superficial things were in place. They acted as assistants to the assistants. Get the film on the projector, material on the chalkboard, do all the preliminary things and clean up afterward. He did it all with a real good spirit."

Wow. Les Miles was talking about the OT losses today. Whining about the fact that his team hasn't lost in regulation, that in the old system it would have been 2 ties, and that's like 1 loss, and they've played several ranked teams, blah blah.

And that the OT system is flawed and takes out components of the game, etc.

WAAAAAAHHHH!!! I wanna play for the NC and the two losses weren't REAL losses. WAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Who didn't see that coming? It's time for the annual smear campaign that the SEC does to everyone else.

Mississippi > tOSU
Vanderbilt > WVU
South Carolina > USC

"The SEC's weakest team is better than blah blah blah"

Every year they do this, however, this year I think they are too far out of the hunt. Last year, doing that with Florida over tsun was only possible because the two had already played, this year they don't have that.

I'm sure there are plenty with me on this so I apologize for stating the obvious, but the more I think about this guy, the less I think he would be the pick for scUM.

He should have his Ohio connection revoked. What a piece.

I suspect you'll end up being right on the mark about him NOT being the guy, but in the meantime cross anything that's crossable so we can do our best to make him the guy.

He didnt say this...Les Miles....did he?

Just caught a bit of ESPN's PTI tonight, and please....tell me I didnt hear this...Les Miles is making a case that LSU deserves to go to the BCS Champ Game as they 'only lost in OT and not regulation'!

SAY WHAT?

He is stating that their two losses were in OT so they are still undefeated in regulation....

:!:tongue2::tongue2::tongue2:
