That's actually really surprising coming out of SEC country...

*Edit* Wasn't he one of the ones suspended briefly last year for pot?

Yes, but according to LSU it takes a second failed drug test for a suspension. Presumably this would be his third, if that is the cause for his dismissal.

Did you forget we also kicked our only non-shitty qb off the team in '08.
Cost us at least a few games each in 08 and 09, and possibly even a conf championship.

Apparently, Honey Badger doesn't do what the [censored] Honey Badger wants...

Since it has been awhile ... in case anyone is unfamiliar with the meme (or why Mathieu takes peroxide to his mohawk), it's all because of this:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg"]The Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger (original narration by Randall) - YouTube[/ame]

I always chuckle at the thought of a young production assistant trying to explain to Musburger or Verne Lundquist why they're calling Mathieu 'Honey Badger' on air.

Sucks that he's gone. He was probably the most exciting player to watch that I have ever seen at LSU.

but rules is rules, and he has to pay for whatever he did.

I'm just thankful that it was someone at a position where we have depth.
No the guy behind him probably won't be as dynamic of a play maker, but at least it won't be some walk on that can't play.

Indeed. It's not like you've got Bobo O'Buttchin holding down the fort there.
