this whole coaching search could not have gone any worse for michigan...what a joke
It's an utter disaster. They let their previous coach twist in the wind for weeks, to the point he was quoting a Barry Manilow wannabe and begging for acceptance at their football banquet before cutting him lose. Then, the guy everyone assumed was coming home to save them publically spurned them for the NFL. Then, the same guy who was apparently (at least in the public eye) their top target three years ago, turns them down again to stay at a school that was looking for a reason to fire him going into 2010. Now, unless there's some mystery candidate that's gonna blow everyone's hair back, they're probably going after a .500 career coach whose claim to fame is having two pretty good seasons at mid major programs in ten years. All because they're married to this "m*ch*g*n man" bull[Mark May]. It's truly a thing of beauty. We all praise Bill Martin (YMSOB!), and rightfully so, but Dave Brandon has [censored]ed this up just as bad...maybe even worse (the process anyway, can't imagine him finding a worse coach).

Michigan Coaching Search

This has to be so enjoyable to you guys in Buckeye land.

BTW - you guys got any spare offensive coordinators in the making we can have? We're planning to kidnap Shawn Watson and send him to Pitt with Peterson, LOL

Go Big Red in 2011!

The vest is a bit busy, nobody is hiring Bollman for his playcalling, and the rising star (since 05) just got hired at Kent State (Darrell Hazell, WR coach & co-HC, really helped diversify OSU's offensive attack)

I thought the hat was going to accept the Michigan job if offered? Gotta love espns close sources:(

The same ESPN news breaker said that Tyler Moeller got injured in a bar fight in Cincinnati two years ago. He also said a quarter of the Big 12 was going to the Pac-10. We can keep going too...

It's truly amazing... for all their money and omnipresent "reporters," in a huge news year for college football ESPiN has been completely scooped by such revered news sources as SportsByBrooks, TigerDroppings and some nerd at a northwestern message board...

just watch them fall ass backwards into a good coaching hire.

this just reminds me of the 2007 season all over again where we were hoping for either Missouri or WVU to lose so we could kick the shit out of the other one in the title game. they both lose and we had to play a real team.

they fire dick rod and whiff on lester.....so they'll end up with the next Urban Meyer or something.

That's the thing, there is nobody like that out there. Jim Harbaugh was as close as it comes. The rest of these guys are just going to get them back to Carr's later years...at best. And that's after some rebuilding. Words can not properly express what an absolute disaster DickRod was for that program.
