Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

He's probably staying in Cleveland and they still don't have a team that can win it. In fact, Miami will have just passed them by adding Bosh and keeping Wade.

The only other option I see for LeBron is joining Stoudemire in New York and getting Carmelo to come there next year. If that happens, look for several restaurants and bars in downtown Cleveland to close by the end of this year.

The Cavs roster last season is better than what Miami is looking at with Wade and Bosh. IMO Wade and Bosh only get them into the top 4 in the East. That roster is barren except for those 2. How far away from having the best team do you think the Cavs were last year? IMO a better coach takes them all the way with that roster.
Melo is going to sign a deal with the Nuggets so don't plan on him being in NY any time soon. The Knick's are going to continue to suck for years to come.

If I were Gilbert I would have Lebron talk to Chris Paul and see if he wants to play in Cleveland. If so tell him it might take a year or two, but it will happen. If the Hornets wanted to move Paul the Cavs have the parts to get it done, but it would be up to Lebron's back channels to make that happen.

out of any of lebrons good friends i think paul is the one and only who will do whatever it takes to play with lebron....too bad he gets hurt constantly...dont see that going any better in cleveland with their history of FA's and injuries

Gotta admit.. I get tired hearing... 'Cavs need more talent'... I don't buy it... you don't win as many games as they did without having magnificent talent... the key is how does that talent play at tournament time...

Cuz I'm a firm believer.. it's not the better team that wins the championship... it's the team that is playing its best at that time... Celts got hot at the right time... and it all clicked...

Mo, LBJ and Jamison had an off week.. and it was over...

If they were hot, it's another story... it's timing...

I still think they have the pieces to win it all... but you gotta play well... at the right time

I'm guessing most of the BP members have played sports... and most won or lost big championships... I have been on teams that I know were 'the best' but on a given day, we lost to what I felt was an inferior team... not sure stacking the deck is as important as being lucky... and timing

Lebron will sign with the Atlanta Hawks. Commisioner Stern will respond by annoucing that the Hawks and the City of Atlanta must respond accordingly in order to make this a fair situation.

In response, the Hawks will send the following things to Cleveland:

1. Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri and the entire Atlanta based Hip Hop music industry
2. Tyler Perry, his studios, and all of his shows/movies
3. 60 slabs of Fat Matt's BBQ Ribs
4. The Atlanta Thrashers
5. This adorable Goldendoodle puppy:

6. 350 latin American workers of questionable legal status to assist with the takedown of all the "WE ARE ALL WITNESSES" signs around town. Also, they will stick around and try to earn a spot on the Indians.

7. 50 of the top Computer Science students from Ga Tech to assist with developlment of Cleveland Tech Sector (may or may not be child molestors):

8. 2 pans of Blueberry Cobbler.

The Commish believes this is now a fair move for both cities.

Bosh's feelings must still be bruised from Shaq's public comment...

After Shaquille O'Neal scored 45 against Toronto on Friday, Raptors star Chris Bosh said O'Neal had benefited from officials ignoring his three-second lane violations. "I heard what Chris Bosh said, and that's strong words coming from the RuPaul of big men," O'Neal said.

Yes, the Cavs chemistry was definitely "off" in the playoffs. Shaq coming back for the first game of the playoffs without ever have played with Jamison really through the team off. Mike Brown did not help that situation either.

Cavs are definitely not that far off especially when you/if you have Lebron because he is the best player on the planet. Look back at the roster when the Cavs did go to the finals. Eric Snow, Larry Hughes, Sasha, Gooden .... lol.

If Lebron comes back the Cavs will be able to make some decent improvements to the roster and will have as good as chance as anyone in the East next year.

LeBron is staying... He is loved across the planet because of what he represents... loyalty... being the good guy... doing the right thing...

Didn't traipse across the country to the big cities to be canonized.. said "you come to my back yard .. to my home"

Showed up at the rally in Akron... showed up at UofA for the Nike camp.. played with HIS teammates... stuck to his roots...

Even when he sets up the one hour ESPN show... he's doing the noble thing and saying "all the revenue must go to a good cause" .. let's see where it's televised... my guess, St V

Tossed out WWW when he was pushed a way he didn't like
Let it be known Mav Carter had his back.. not WWW
Loyalty... roots... integrity

Add it all up...

I bet he had no idea he'd hate the FA show as much as he did... I also suspect he'll sign for six.. because he hated this... and doesn't want to deal with this any time soon again...

Can Boozer Deliver LeBron? - TrueHoop Blog - ESPN

There is a growing belief among both sources and rival executives that LeBron James is strongly considering joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.

That news has sent GMs from the Cavs, Bulls and Nets scrambling to come up with a last ditch effort to convince LeBron to reconsider. Their plan, according to sources, involves Carlos Boozer.

Sources said that on Wednesday, the Bulls, Cavs and Heat all intensified negotiations with Boozer, hoping that landing the 28-year-old power forward could entice LeBron.
