Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Speaking on the Dan Patrick Show, Windhorst broke down what the future looks like for Bronny James.

“He's very good,” Windhorst said. “I don't know if he's going to go play in college. If he were to go play in college, he would probably get a high major offer. Whether he would be a star on that team, I don't know. Having seen him play, he is in tremendous physical condition. He is in better condition than his dad was at the same age, because his dad never lifted a weight in his life until he was 16. This kid was having personal training, I don't know when he was 10? So he's done incredible work on his physique. He's very, very conditioned. But he is not the athlete LeBron was. LeBron was 6-foot-7, 6-foot-8, 240 pounds when he was 17. He came into the NBA, he was one of the few 18 year olds ever who physically wasn't intimidated. The only player that intimidated LeBron as a rookie was Ron Artest … So Bronny is very skilled. I think he's listed as a four-star prospect. So think about that. A four-star prospect that's what Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA go after. How many four-star prospects make the NBA? I don't know what the percentage is, but it's not super duper high.

“Obviously if he wants to be in the NBA he’ll get a chance in the NBA. His last name will carry him as to that. But I think assuming that he's going to be ready at age 19, that's a big ask, Dan. Maybe he will be. I mean, that's two years from now. Maybe he will be. But when I saw him play, he was a freshman and there were two guys on his team that year that are now in the NBA, Ziaire Williams with the Grizzlies and Brandon Boston with the Clippers. Those guys, when you saw them, you were like, 'I will see that gentleman in the NBA in two years.’ I don't get that same vibe, and the people I talk to don't get that same vibe about Bronny. There are actually people, and I've never seen his younger son Bryce play, but people have told me that Bryce actually might be the better prospect amongst the two. But Bryce, I think, is 13 or something like that. I don't know if we can go that far down the list.”

Eric Bossi of 247Sports echoed the same comments on CBS Sports HQ in February, saying a lot of Bronny’s NBA future may depend on the tail end of LeBron’s career.

“There’s a lot of time between now and 2024 when he’d be eligible for the draft… but as things are going he’s a little bit of an outlier,” Bossi said. “He certainly has a chance to play in the NBA on his own merit someday so we’re not ruling that out, we’re not saying he’s any kind of bad player or anything but obviously the push from this dad is gonna help. A lot of this is going to come into how badly does a team want LeBron and how high are they willing to draft Bronny to get him.”

“I can’t say Ohio State? In a different world, I probably would’ve gone between — and this is going to ruffle a lot of feathers — Duke and North Carolina,” James said during ESPN's Bird and Taurasi Show. “It would’ve been between those two.”

He’s under contract for another year, I believe, so they’ll have to trade him :slappy:

Yeah, but he's probably untradeable. What team has $44,474,988 in salary cap space and would give up any significant assets for 1 year rental?

His only hope for another ring now is:

1) Play another year with the Lakers on a losing team.

2) In 2023 (as a free agent) sign with a contender for the NBA minimum (10+ year player gets $2.8M).

LeBron James says he will open a multimillion-dollar medical facility in his Ohio hometown

NBA superstar LeBron James says he is opening up a medical facility in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The LeBron James Family Foundation announced plans on Tuesday for the I Promise HealthQuarters – a multimillion-dollar facility that will offer a variety of services to students from his I Promise School and local community.

"It takes a village to help raise a kid and make a true difference! Love my kids and their families!" the Los Angeles Lakers forward tweeted, as he shared news about the announcement.

The community health and wellness center will provide medical, dental, optometry and mental heath supports as well as on-site pharmacy and lab services, the foundation said. It is set to open in 2023 and it will be within walking distance from the I Promise School and across from House Three Thirty, a hub that helps with job training and financial literacy.

King James officially has a new title: billionaire. LeBron James' net worth has reached $1 billion, making him the first active NBA player to hit this milestone, according to Forbes.

Well, he sure can afford it.
