Figure that and he's tired of the Finals record weighing on him. Won't have to worry about that because the Lakers (as of now) aren't doing anything in the playoffs. Oh well, his stats and "Witness" moments I've watched tell me enough about his career on the court. No clue and don't care what he does with these last 4 years. I'll pretend they don't exist
Seems more like a move for his post-NBA life. Best of luck to him.
No dog in this at all. But I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. No Paul George. Leonard likely won’t be traded to LA and to even get out of the West he will have to get past OKC, HOU and GS? All 3 or a combo of the 3. If winning a title or 2 was the goal LA, to me makes the least sense. But I hate the NBA so what the hell do i know?

Move makes little sense to me, but best of luck. The 4 year deal is a kick in the balls tho.
They ran such an inept operation that the "1 good draft pick" forced a trade to a conference rival. Truly inept stuff. He didn't mind signing one and one or 2 and one contracts when he was in his prime since he knew he was going to keep being great for the foreseeable future. He wants the guaranteed 4 years now because he knows he isn't going to be worth what he is making by the time it's over. This was really the last shot he had at signing a max deal of any type. He worked the Cavs for as much money as he could get every season, but if they had drafted well over the years he was gone and had a good young team around him I guarantee he would have signed a 5 year deal with the Cavs today. He just left 50 mil on the table by giving up his Bird rights. I put this one squarely on Chris Grant and Dan Gilbert for doing a shitty job when he was gone the first time. They had exactly 1 good draft pick the whole time he was gone.
