Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

In my opinion, that's hardly a "dunk on". Bron was standing there with his hands on his hips then decided to contest the shot. I'm on the "disappointed in Nike/Lebron" bandwagon right along with everyone else. I still would like confirmation that Lebron actually told someone to get the tapes though. But whatever, hopefully this goes away soon.

Well if you look at the higher quality video (shot from the poorer angle), it would appear that the dunk on Lebron isn't much to see. But if you look at the TMZ video, Lebron is standing under the hoop during the drive down the lane, waiting at the rim - harder to make excuses for Lebron from that angle.

I don't see where any excuses are necessary to be honest. Lebron didn't seem to be paying much attention, notice the hands on the hips. By the time he saw what was coming it was too late. Crawford made a strong, aggressive move and was rewarded with a nice dunk. That being said, I was expecting something FAR more epic than this. If they don't confiscate those tapes I doubt this is even a story.

I was expecting something far more epic based on the outrageous reaction of the people who didn't get a chance to "report" on it.

since when did getting dunked on become a bad thing?
you have two options
1-contest the move to the hoop and make the guy make a play (you get dunked on, though likely reduce the % of a basket scored)
2-slide away from the play and give up and easy basket (you give up two points but you dont end up on a poster)

sorry but its a major issue i have with basketball at this point. style of substance. its much better to not look a fool than make the guy make the play and face the consequences of getting "embarrassed"

imo their is absolutely nothing wrong with getting 1-dunked on, 2-a shot dropped in your eye, 3-getting embarrassed off of help side defense, 4-many other things these days kids/college/nba players seem to "fear"
