Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I'm assuming his next contract.

Of course there's the fact that the Bulls barely paid for Pippen and MJ, so I seriously doubt they'd pay for Bosh, Lebron, and Wade.

I can only imagine what would happen if you put an owner like Gilbert in a city like Chicago. I bet you would have done better than Boo$er this summer.

I don't know about that.......it all hinged on Lebron, Bosh, and Wade, and they had no idea those 3 were actually off the market. Maybe if you told them ahead of time they weren't getting any of those three.

 actually if they knew ahead of time they might not have even wasted their time with Booser and just waited for Melo next year.

This could have only happened in Miami and only have happened this year. I don't expect we'll see anything like this in our lifetimes again. This all started years ago when it was a whisper. Whispers made their way to the right people and foundations were laid. Things were put in to motion to make sure this was the only way it could go down in the year 2010, when everyone would be available for free agency.

In hindsight, the people that had been calling this with certainty for some time now look like geniuses. They saw things moving in that direction and knew it would end up this way.

I have an inkling that if Wade wanted to be in Chicago....they'd be in Chicago. I don't know how that works with the stingy owners, and it certainly couldn't have worked very long with Rose included.

Call it what it was though....LeBron pushed Wade and Bosh to sign 3 year deals so they could all be free agents in the class of 2010, and their plan was to join 1 team. That team happened to be Miami.

LeBron knew he wasn't going to be a Cav since 2008. Which is why his playoff performance against Boston hurts even more. That wasn't a committed LeBron. That was a foot out the door LeBron...screw him.

Also, reading articles about how Riley had been putting his team in the tank and deliberately dumping the roster kind of shows just how planned all of this was.

The most comical thing of all may have been watching them squirm as everyone agreed it was most likely a package deal to Miami.

All of a sudden Wade has "interest" in Chicago and schedules extra meetings. LeBron is trying to "recruit" Bosh to Cleveland LOL.

The craziest thing in all of this is how much LeBron wanted out of Cleveland. Cleveland wasn't even #2 on the list. The Cavs had an agreement on a trade with Torornto for Bosh, so LeBron would have had his #2 had he wanted him. But Bosh and LeBron both knew where LeBron was ending up. Had James stayed in Cleveland, Bosh would be here now as well. Bosh was always a lock to play with LeBron, but the preference was in Miami.

Dan Gilbert was actually mild in his letter. To deliver Chris Bosh in free agency would have been huge, but LeBron recruited Bosh to Miami...not to Cleveland.

...and, again, what a joke the nba has become. I love the game of basketball, but the nba is no more basketball than the wwf is wrestling.

Paul now wants out of New Orleans to go play on the fucking Lakers that already have a ridiculous roster full of talent so he can be the 3rd option and win a championship? Or New York with Amare and next year Melo? Go blow me CP3.

I haven't read anything about CP to the Lakers. As a matter of fact, his wish list was four deep without including the Lakers. Have you seen/read something other than that?

I had heard that he mentioned the Lakers initially but as you said, now it looks like LA is not even a possibility and he listed the Magic, Mavericks, and Blazers after the Knicks. All of those teams have stars already on their teams. This type of shit wasn't happening in the 80s and 90s when basketball wasn't a joke. People in general have become a joke. Athletes especially...

You sign a contract with a team? HONOR IT. After a couple years you decide you would rather go suck some other overpaid piece of shit's dick and get a free ring or live in a better city? fuck you. Pay me millions and i'll go play basketball in the fucking Congo for all I care.

But no...he'll get traded for two 1st round picks in 2020 and 2021 and go win a championship elsewhere tugging on someone else's cape.

Never thought i'd say it but i'm truely getting sick of professional sports. Football is still tolerable because well its Football but Basketball and Baseball are unwatchable now days.
