Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

It's pretty tragic when an entire city's professional sports relevance resides upon the shoulders of a single basketball player. It's going be difficult for him to face a lot of people in Ohio from now on. Hopefully the general consensus reaction is more of disappointment than betrayal. It's going be very hard to look at him the same way outside of Cleveland but you've got to admit it's going to be one hell of a time watching Bosh, Wade and James on the court together. This upcoming season could (in theory) shape up to one of the most hyped Finals in NBA history. Just imagine a Lakers/Heat series with Kobe going for 6 and Zen-master Jackson's last stand.

It's almost a win-win for the haters though.

If they dominate, LeBron is painted the greedy tag-along. If they fail, LeBron is painted the biggest fool on the planet.

...also, these boards are hilarious when folks get mad. The usually impeccable (read: mostly passable) grammar and spelling go RIGHT out of the window.

casual fans are bandwagoners. who do you think is about to sell more jerseys than they ever dreamed?

I will say he has a point, inasmuch as LeBron will have to go from being "The LeBron show" who was often cheered in visitng arenas to being booed out of the building playing on Darth Riley's team. We'll see how his ego handles that. Maybe he won't care...but we'll see.

LeBrick could not win in Cleveland with an "ok" cast

he couldnt get it done so he runs into the hands of the 3 man all star circus in Miami

he better hope he wins there with Bosh and Wade

or he will be known as the biggest choker in NBA history.........which is what im hoping for

Of course people here are emotional tonight...but they never miss a chance to take a parting kick to the balls while people here are down. ESPN just LOVES to butcher Ohio...so fuck you mealy-mouthed cocksuckers, I hope you rot.

sorry... just got back from being outside burning my sons LeBron jersey....

Don't worry... he's 2 years old, he won't be scarred :drunks:

Couldn't disagree more... It takes more than three ego driven superstars to win a title. That's why the Lakers have had as much success as they've had. They play as a team.

Personally, I'm not mad at him for leaving. I am [censored]ed about him having a 1 hour special to tell everyone that Cleveland isn't good enough for him. Cuts a bit deeper if you're a Cleveland fan.

Edit: Kobe > Lebron
