Regardless of whether you consider him a true MLB or not, my point is that he was the starting MLB and his injury opened the door for his backup to step in and could remain as starter even after Worley recovers. Had Worley not gotten hurt he very likely would not have been jumped by Borland, just as Weber very likely would not have been jumped by Dobbins had Weber not tweaked his hamstring.Yes and no,
to me its different because Worley was never a Mike LB.. he was always an OLB.. but he and Baker are ~ the same size and play the same position so this was a way to try to get both on the field... now I'm not sure if we want to try a combo of Worley/Borland/Baker .. that leaves us kinda small at the LB...but thts up to Bill,Greg, and Urban
