I don't think we'll see him at star. To me, he looks like he is molded perfectly for the LEO position here.

that's what everyone in the world except Taos thinks, it takes a special kind of thought process to think you can move someone from primarily playing DE in high school to DB in college successfully

Welcome to the family Ryan! Great kid......very well spoken. Can't wait to see him on the field.

On another note, I think landing Ryan will change the shape of our recruiting class completely. I can't wait to see what unfolds in the next couple months. This could be a class for the ages! Heck I seem to think that every year.....good times indeed

He's been playing some LBer recently, is raw at that position. He's got the tools right now for "star". Amazing pass rushing skills. And pure speed and athletic ability. Just my thoughts.

Tyler Moeller, Jermale Hines, Christian Bryant have manned the "star".

The STAR is a hybrid LB/safety position used in lieu of a 3rd LB in order to add a more versatile defender to defend spread formations.

LEO is manned by Nathan Williams, Gibson, Gholston.

Yeah if you go back in the thread and watch the interview he had about the gators he talked about Curtis Grant quite a bit and trying to recruit him to Florida. I imagine he'll be working to try to get him here as well. Hopefully it works out that way.

I'd just like to say after perusing the uf boards, a large cross section of their fanbase are semi-literate scumbags. Geeze...you'd think he beat up their sisters.

Unfortunately, if the move was in the other direction the Ohio State board at scout.com would sound about the same.

That said, welcome aboard Ryan! :osu:
