LB Ryan Shazier (All B1G, All-American, 2017 Pro Bowl)

He is right behind Simon as our best defensive player. A buddy of my had an interesting comment about Ryan during yesterday's game. He said he reminds him of how Tyler Moller would come in and be all over the field and make plays. He is very exciting and disruptive just wish we had a couple more guys with his mindset and speed.

I have a hard time arguing against splitting reps with Bino. I certainly didn't think his breakout game would be in relief of Sweat.

Sweat had a concussion. Anyone that was at the game saw him try and come out after halftime only to have to be helped back into the locker room. He looked very weak in the knees.

From what I see from Shazier I think he has the potential to be one of the better LB's to come through in the past decade. What I like about him in contrast to some of our recent LB's is the fact that he is in the backfield an awful lot. He's got the look of a natural playmaker, the last time I got this excited about a freshman on defense was Mike Doss.

Eh, I GUESS I'd be ok with another 3 time All American.
