Add Auburn to the growing list of top NCAA football programs that are entering the recruiting race for Liberty County sophomore Raekwon McMillan.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker spoke with Auburn's defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder and linebacker coach Tommy Thigpen Tuesday and was offered a scholarship, McMillan said.
That brings the list up to five top programs that would love to sign the standout sophomore. He has offers from Mississippi, South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio State and now Auburn.
Which schools are the top three on his list right now?
"With an educated guess, I would have to say Ohio State, Georgia and Auburn," McMillan said.
McMillan earned first-team All-Region 2-AAAA (A) honors with 84 tackles, including 16 for a loss. Had a sack, two forced fumbles and an interception. He was also a first-team All-Greater Savannah selection by the Morning News.
The coaches invited McMillan to attend Auburn's spring game this Saturday. But McMillan has other plans. He'll be attending the Liberty County High School prom with his date, who is a senior.
