LB Marcus Freeman (HC Notre Dame, Constant Backtracker)

DGAF if this was posted months ago. Not gonna go back and check.
This has come up a lot of times on my YT page, and I decided to watch it this morning.
Find myself torn on Marcus, because on one side I love this guy, what he is, and how he goes about his business, et cetera. On the other side, his comments and shit have been so douchey. Makes me wonder which is the real Marcus. I kind of believe he's the former, but dabbled in political speak.
Nonetheless, hope his team gets another L (and with authority) on Jan 20.

The media knob slobbing for him is getting over the top.

Was he Knute Parseghian Holtz back in week two when he lost at home to a middle of the road MAC school?

The year before when he left 10 men on the field for two straight plays on a goal to go for the game?

It's a nice redemption story and all that and ND gets clicks but for fucks sake. Can the media every just stop short of massively over selling anything? Is it possible?

Hat tip. Freeman's a helluva coach. Wouldn't be surprised if he wins a natty in South Bend if they can hold onto him.

The new expanded playoff will be great for ND so I don't see Freeman going anywhere. They'll have plenty of money to spend on players and will have no problem pulling in transfers even with their more difficult admissions. I'm sure there are plenty of 4th or 5th year academic All-Americans in the MAC that would rather get a degree from ND than whatever school they came from. ND just needs to focus more on QB's that can throw and top end WR's same as we need to put more attention on the OL to make sure an injury or two don't derail a season.

Mixed feelings, I'm sure. There's a love in Marcus' heart for tOSU still, a love for his former teammates as well. Probably wasn't easy for him or Lauranitis to square off given what they've been through as players.
.
Marcus and Lil' Animal never won a title here as a players, despite having a shot at two. Now one has a ring as a coach at his alma mater while the other just watched his alma mater stop him from getting one as a coach.

I'm sure the past, present and future weigh on you in that situation.
