LB Larry Grant (Official Thread)

I would have to disagree. I think that if Grant comes aboard, he will conclude the linebacker recruiting for '06 (assuming Gibson passes admissions). With Moeller, Homan, Grant, Gibson and Johnson I don't think the McCarthy is in the cards anymore.
IMHO

EDIT - Johnson
Thank you

different LB position... I don't think MJ would scare off McCarthy.

Right now, a LB is a LB. Granted Johnson is a prototype MLB but Homan could also play MLB if need be. I was responding to the total number of LBs we'd have if Gibson and Grant came on board before McCarthy. If Gibson and Grant came on board, that would give up five LBs and no way would we take a sixth in McCarthy.

the only concern Gibson has is admissions. Remember, Grant will come in with only 2 years of eligibility (although he could take 3 years to use them if he wanted to) so a H.S. recruit should not let that affect his decision at all.

McCarty, I think, has apparently already made other plans - unless he wants to come in as a TE.

I saw somebody on a Buckeye recruiting forum on scout.com quote Grant saying and that we're #1 for him right now. This guy is in the bag.

How come part of my post was deleted? Did I post inside information or something?
