LB Larry Grant (Official Thread)

I'd love to see Larry in the first round and I think he's probably our most fierce and nasty linebacker (yes including the animal) but if Bobby Carp goes late first I bet Larry will go anywhere from 2nd-4th round. The NFL will love his athletism and his mean streak he brings.

The animal has been laying pop's left and right so maybe I should say its a tie, but everytime Larry is near the ball he just does something that I say "Damn that had to suck for him"

Grant right now is playing about as good as Carpenter did during his senior season. I think his going in the first round is a definite posibility...

They're hard to compare since they play two very different roles. Carpenter was used more for blitzing/getting pressure on the QB and run support while Larry's strong suit is pass coverage. It's hard for me to say whose senior season is better.

Yesterday was Larry's last game in the Horseshoe, and the only game the Bucks lost at home during his two years here. looked devastated after the game....more so than others.

Great contribution in his two short years...

I haven't seen his draft projections? What kind of NFL prospect is he?

he looked phyiscally sick, he was kneeling at the block o by himself for 5 minutes, someone had to come get him to sing carmen ohio. that made me feel worse than losing, guys like him losing their last game at home.

It had to hurt, knowing that it was his last game in the 'shoe, and the whole undefeated season gone. That being said, I wanted to go down and knock out the few photographers that were squatting right next to him to take pictures of him. You just don't do that.

Scout is one rating system that has him presently listed as #9 at the OLB position.

That projection (written on or before October 15th) would put him the 3rd round.

A lot of upward movement can happen at the combines of course.
