LB Larry Grant (Official Thread)

I seriously doubt that in-coming recruting classes play much influence on who will be ranked pre-season #1. If a team needs to rely heavily on an in-coming recruiting class, they have absolutely no business being the #1 team in the country.
well i'm talking about the difference between #1 and #2 or #3...and since there is no clear cut frontrunner...yeah every bit helps. Somebody has to be #1.

I guess we'll see how the chips fall in spring and fall ball.

Since Grant will be here early, he'll have every chance to show if he deserves to start ahead of JL. It's not like he was lights out in either of the 2 games he played, ensuring him the starting spot. He'll need to earn it.

May the competition be fierce this Spring & Summer...may the best men win (the starters jobs)...and may it once again be said that our back ups are better than most of the other team's starters we shall face.

Glad to have you aboard Mr. Grant. :osu:

Does anybody know where the 4.4 and 4.45 times that are posted for Grant come from? I just wonder how fast this guy really is on a football field. Does he have enough speed to be a saftey, or at least be a type of Cie Grant LBer? I really like the speed factor.

Welcome to the Buckeye family Larry!! I absolutely LOVE this new blood coming in. I think Grant and Homan coming in early is really going to get the pads hitting hard this spring. The compeition is gonna be FIERCE! I like the placing of him too. Having him come in as a junior spaces out the scholarships a little bit, especially at the LB position.

Gotta love Laurinitis, but if there is one place at LB that isn't a lock, it's at his position. I'm really looking forward to spring practice to see how things shape up!!
