LB Etienne Sabino (official thread)

I'm really impressed with this kid. He's doing a great job punishing the kick return team. Absolutely knocking the hell out of them every chance he gets. Truly exciting. With him and Hines on our defense I cannot wait to see the hits.

He's the type of middle linebacker this team NEEDS. No offense to James but he doesn't deliver the pain like this guy can. Man Sabino is hurting people out there I mean he stood up the gopher player (big guy himself) and dropped him hard. Then had another hard hit later on another special teams play. Sabino is gonna be hard to keep off the field next year.

Bino sure delivered the pain on that one hit, the Gopher was lowering his shoulder and looked to be ready to give Sabino a good shot, when all of the sudden, Bino caught him out of the corner of his eye and lowered the boom.

Speed and intensity to go along with his great size, he's another of the Frosh I look forward to seeing progress as the years go by. Sabino, Sweat, Rolle, Bell, spread be damned, these boys can bring it.

Anyone know how many plays he's gotten at Mike so far this year? I've been trying to look for him near the end of games, but I've mostly seen him on Special Teams.

Seems like Sabino would be the best bet for starter at Mike next year, so I'm just trying to wonder how much he's been playing there.

It will either be him or spitler, probably splitting time 50-50.

That or Spitler splits time at SAM with Homan. However, I think what you said seems more likely. In any event, I also think Sabino is going to be one heck of a player here. Not only does he lay the wood, but his athleticism is phenomenal for a guy his size.

Didn't realize or see this at first watch, but Sabino was in there when Wisky scored their go ahead TD...He was in on the whole goal line set he was playing as the outside LB...

Good to see him getting some time...I would love to see him get a little time and see if we couldn't bring him on a blitz or two...Maybe as a rusher off the end...

Outside of frosh on offense, this is the frosh that I have been most impressed with...
