My gut tells me that Brian will blow-up BIG-TIME next week, and will put his name on ALL of the "WATCH" lists.

Peace.

I assume that in the eyes of some, that I'm not "correct" very often.

However, I think I nailed this one spot-on. For the rest of the year, EVERY Buckeye opponent better have an eye on where #36 is lurking. Great game last night for our next (current) "Great" LB.

Peace.

Love him! Still living up to my moniker.

My question is why was he not in during the last USC drive? I saw Spitler in there and couldnt find him except when they panned to the sideline and he was running by Tressel with his helmet off. What happened there?!

He was in there on the opening play of the final drive... not sure after that. I've got one of him cheering to the crowd and flashing that big smile right at me...

Ok. All I can remember thinking on 2 and 19 is why wasnt Rolle on McKnight there instead of Homan? No way he gets that first down with Rolle on him. Homan played his heart out but that was not a winning situation for him to be in.

Rolle is no match for McKnight one on one. I'm not sure there's a true LB in america that can hang in that scenario...

edit: Are we talking about the 2nd down tackle breaking clinic... or the 3rd down slant route by McKnight? I was referring to the latter, where Homan was caught in a mismatch.

The play out of the backfield where Homan goes left, McKnight goes under him with the 5 yard pass and picks up another 10 leaving Homan in the dust. Would Rolle have completely stopped that play? Meh, maybe not but if he holds him to 2-3 yards after catch vs 10 thats 3rd and long coming up and maybe we hold them.

Rolle is a tackling machine and at this point I put him at the top of OSU's list in this category.

Rolle had a great game but he missed on the USC RB's a couple of times also. All of our D played well let's just leave it at that!!!

Yeah, USC running backs have a tendency to do that to a lot of good LBs, especially McKnight.......he is an electric player. That being said you can see Rolle establishing himself as a star on defense. He is around the ball on almost every play, that is what the great LB's are known for.

Yea I agree, just think all our D stepped up. A MBL should be around the ball a little more than your OLB's I would think.
