not sure I've ever seen anyone his size obliterate offensive linemen quite like he does.
Imo I see more of Andy Katzemoyer in Reese’s game than Parsons. Parsons was more of a speed rusher up the gap, and smaller than Reese and Big Kat. Big Kat was an instinctive force that was hard to block but also would blow up offensive players in space. Parsons could/can be neutralized if larger OL get their hands on them, that’s not happening with the 2 OSU LBsI don't recall Parsons ever being that much of a stack & shed monster against the run but I didn't pay that close of attention to him at PSU to be honest.
Idk if Reese was fully ready last year. He wasn’t playing like this last year. Simon’s leadership was needed, and he was a solid player who was rarely in the wrong spot. I think forcing Reese to start last year wouldve caused some major frusteration from fans and coaches. He had some big whiffs last year trying to make a highlight play, where Simon just made the play that wasn’t flashy but got the job doneI loved Cody Simon and all but I feel liked we’ve been robbed of a year of one of the best linebackers I’ve ever seen.

Yes, but I also think he would’ve excelled with Knowles too. He would’ve been in Knowles system for a 3rd year and I’m sure would’ve been every bit as good as Simon if not better with his athleticismAlso, gotta think playing for Patricia has helped with his progress.
