LB A.J. Hawk (2x All-American, Lombardi Trophy, National Champion, Super Bowl Champion)

I seem to recall seeing Hawk and Nande on the same field last September, and I don't recall thinking Nande was even in the same galaxy as Hawk, regardless of Nande's "freakish" measureables...

Hmm, I seem to remember Pittman pushing Nande back several yards and picking up a first down. Good thing he couldn't push around a 200 lb running back on the field

I'm as big a fan of AJ Hawk as anybody, but I think those who are depreciating Terna Nande will find themselves eating their words. I think that young man will be a fine pro LB.

No one is dissing Nande, but any NFL moron that thinks Nande is as good as Hawk as a linebacker just because he has better measureables needs to find another occupation.

Here are results from tOSU's Pro Day that were posted on NFL.com.

OHIO STATE: MARCH 9 There were five head coaches present -- Pittsburgh's Bill Cowher, Chicago's Lovie Smith, Detroit's Rod Marinelli, Cleveland's Romeo Crennel and the Giants' Tom Coughlin -- and about 100 team scouts and representatives. The players ran outdoors on a strip of extremely fast AstroTurf that has been down there for some years.

Player..............Position..........Gil's comments
A.J. Hawk.........LB.................Hawk was clocked at 4.49 and 4.42 in the 40.

From profootballtalk.com:

HAWK SOARS IN COLUMBUS
Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk continued to push himself higher up the draft board with a stellar pro day effort in Columbus on Thursday.
As to his 40-yard dash, various times have been reported. We've seen it as low as 4.38. We've independently heard 4.43.
But take note that he ran on what's regarded as a fast surface. The belief is that his actual speed is closer to the rang of 4.55.
Not bad for a 240-pound linebacker.
Word is that, overall, he had a "great workout" and that he's a "stud." He'll likely go as high as No. 6 to the 49ers, possibly even No. 5 to the Packers.
