Those kids are going to be quite the athletes. AJ's speed, power and intinct combined with the Quinn family's QB skills, mannnnnn. And I don't think any son of AJ would go anywhere other than tOSU  .
keep in mind the little sister who is one of the better soccer players to ever come out of the state of ohio...

A.J. Hawk gets another chance to impress scouts

By Brian Kollars
Dayton Daily News

• Under the scope: Ohio State holds its annual Pro Day for NFL scouts Thursday. One prospect who might have a chip on his shoulder is A.J. Hawk. The Centerville alum had a mediocre showing at last month's combine in Indy, bench-pressing 225 pounds just 24 times. That's great for most folks, but consider this: Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler did 23 reps. Strange, because Hawk strikes me as a guy who spends a lot of time in the gym. Hawk's time in the 40-yard dash — 4.6 seconds — didn't blow away the scouts, either. FYI: Miami University linebacker Terna Nande did 41 reps of 225.

He had a mediocre time? What the hell is this guy smoking? He ran a faster shuttle time than every single player at the combine other that one DB. He also ran a 4.6 at 248 lbs. Derrick Johnson ran a 4.65 and weighed in much lighter last year.

What an idiot.

And we all know how important the combine is to a player like AJ. :roll2: As long as his medical check went fine he will be a top pick.

From NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt:

"Ohio State Linebacker, A.J. Hawk (he actually mistakenly wrote Iowa LB, and called Nick Mangold "Eric" but anyway) ran his 40s at 4.59 and 4.60. That's outstanding for someone who weighs 248 pounds. He also was outstanding in all of his position drills. However he feels he can run in the low 4.5s, and said he will run the 40 again at Ohio States Pro Day. This tells you why Hawk is such a great player. No matter how well he does, he is never satisfied with his performance."

It seems like a similar argument to me whether TG Jr. runs a 4.3 or 4.45, it really doesn't matter. On the field Teddy Ginn is the fastest man in pads, and NFL teams know what they're getting in AJ Hawk, whether he runs a "slow" 4.59 as in the opinion of this Brian Kollers or the 4.5 that Hawk wants to turn in on Pro Day. He's a grade A stud and the Dayton Daily News won't lessen any GM's opinions of him. :osu:

I seem to recall seeing Hawk and Nande on the same field last September, and I don't recall thinking Nande was even in the same galaxy as Hawk, regardless of Nande's "freakish" measureables...
