He was in a film called The Miracle, set in Spain during the Napoleonic war. He rode up on his horse wearing a British officer's uniform, bathed in sunlight. He was dazzling. Silly as the plot was, that film had a unique, mystical mood to it that I never forgot. And I certainly never forgot the impact of that first shot of Roger.
