Saw Anchorman 2 last night. It's definitely funny, but only time will tell if it'll get more funny with each viewing like the first. I don't expect that to happen.. But it was pretty funny.
75% on rotten tomatoes. Glad to see that. Had the potential to be a disaster. Movies like Anchorman rarely have sequels that fare very well...or at least approach the original's standards. Based on what I'm hearing/reading, looks like this one has.

I can't say it approaches the original. But it's better than I expected it to be.

I also couldn't help but think of ESPN throughout the movie.

Terrible. John Travolta as a Serbian out for revenge. He sounded more like Teddy KGB in Rounders.

Saw 'Out of the Furnace' last night. Christian Bales is pretty damned good. I'd give it a B+.
i was underwhelmed by ootf. the cast was outstanding and the acting was solid, but i just didn't care about any of the characters, which is death for a film that attempts to be a meaningful revenge flick. on top of that, i found the movie to be aimless and plodding on the verge of boredom.

Has anyone seen Prisoners with Hugh Jackman? I picked it up the other day and am looking forward to watching it, but I don't know if it's over the top in violence. Trying to figure out if the wife would like it or not. She's pretty turned off by the violence in movies. (which of course is what makes them great )

So just wondering if anyone had seen it. Thanks.
