Scream 5.

Loved this series when I was a kid and clearly remember the controversy surrounding the first couple movies. Was a decent entry and meta-critique/ satirizing on the horror genre. Which has pretty much been what these films were about from the very start. The 4th one has aged quite well, I might add.

I cannot believe we're 26 years on from the first one. I remember seeing it in the theater like it was yesterday.

'Bullet Train'

If you're a fan of early Guy Ritchie movies ('Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels' and 'Snatch'), you'll dig this. Rapidly paced through the entire 2 hours with plenty of laughs sprinkled in and a great cast. Brad Pitt is a riot.

7.5/10

Finally went to theater and saw Top Gun: Maverick. Spoke with a naval aviator about it, he loved it, but most was impossible/never happening. Pretty much what the U-Tube commentators said. However, was thrilled to see the sequal, and the obvious tie-ins and not so obvious tie-ins to the original. Goose's kid certainly, Great Balls of Fire cool as well, but not as cool as Mav's expression when he realizes who's playing and singing that song. Something not so obvious - I believe-, was the Admiral who 'fired' Maverick from the team when Admiral Iceman died, was Jon Hamm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that he was the guy that always spilled coffee on himself when Mav did his fly-bys. Otherwise cannot remember any other carry-overs from the first Top Gun. Did I miss anyone else?

Jon Hamm was 15 years old when the first movie came out, so it wasn’t him in the tower with coffee.

Saw Clerks III last night with my best friend from about 5 years old. Just like the previous two, it's full of dumb and raunchy jokes. And just like the other two, Kevin Smith pulls back the cloak of immaturity to hit you with emotional and poignant truths of life. Not gonna lie, it got me emotional in the theater and still has me in my head today. If you have any appreciation for KS's movies, don't blow this one off.

'Wakanda Forever.'

Still processing my feelings on it. I can definitely say it was a very good movie, but the spectre of Chadwick Bozeman was definitely present. Didn't feel like a Marvel movie to me at all. Yes, it has the splashy visuals and amazing action sequences, but something felt "off" to me. My immediate reaction is to say it's a solid 7/10, but interested to see how i feel after another viewing. Without a doubt felt heavier than your typical MCU experience.
