Just saw the rerelease of Schindler's List in Dolby Cinema, and having never gotten to see it in theaters on its original run (I would have been 4), it is definitely a bit more impactful than watching it on a "small" screen at home. Absolutely a masterpiece of cinema that needs to be seen by all, both for the history lesson(s) and for its value as a film. If you have an AMC with Dolby Cinema showing it in your area, it is worth it. My AMC is running it through next week, though I wouldn't be surprised if it leaves by Monday for most other markets.

My foster kitty is temporarily housed in my parent's office while my house is under construction. He likes to call me in for visits while my mother is watching Hallmark Christmas movies. I swear they must have contracted every former child sitcom actor to shoot exactly the same script over and over and over and over...
Can haz hamburgers?

or is that catburgers??

'Aquaman.'

Okay, first thing's first--it would seemingly be impossible to make a "cool" Aquaman movie. The premise was literally the butt of a joke for a season on 'Entourage."

After seeing this movie, it absolutey is impossible. That said, you can make an entertaining 'Aquaman' movie, and they did. While it is seriously flawed...the acting is really stiff at points and the dialogue is often cringe-inducing, to the point that it almost feels like they were intentionally upping the "campiness" (though i don't think they were)...the effects are incredible, and the story, though cheesy as fuck, is engaging. It's gonna polarize critics, those expecting 'Batman' under water are gonna hate it, those just expecting 2.25 hours of fun will love it. It's gonna make a ton of money. I fully endorse dropping a few bucks extra if your theatre offers the UltraScreen DLX.

In the end, I'd give it 7/10 because, while corny as hell, it is a LOT of fun.

Jason Momoa was on Graham Norton a week back and admitted he won the role specifically to make Aquaman as manly as possible and not be the dorky, svelte blonde dude that rides dolphins like in the 80s Justice League Saturday morning cartoons. The fact Aquaman is lame has been the butt of jokes for half a century, so the entire goal of the film was just to make Aquaman not lame.

So I finally watched Black Panther last night and loved that shit. So, question, I didn’t think I’d get into comic movies other than the Nolan trio, but...should I go back, start with Iron Man, and watch them in order now?

I've bought 4 comic books in my life. The death of Superman. Because someone told me it would be worth money someday and I had birthday loot burning a hole in my pocket.

For the most part, the MCU movies are a blast. I'd recommend watching all of them.

Highlights imo, are Iron Man 1 and 3, the 1st and latest Avengers, and my favorite of the bunch, Thor Ragnarock and Guardians of the Galaxy 1. Just fun ass flicks.

+1
Definitely also Spiderman: Homecoming, and I really liked Doctor Strange but maybe that's not for everyone. I still need to see Ant-Man.
