Captain America: Civil War.

I have one complaint. My wife's dad was raised in a Hungarian household. She makes a kick ass paprikash. In the movie, Vision is reading a recipe and says, "a pinch of paprika," and throws a pinch in his dish. Wanda asks, "is that paprikash?"

W. T. F. Paprikash is more like 20 pounds of paprika. Not a pinch. Notice the name of the dish, Marvel writers? That really took me out of the movie.

Other than that, I really liked it.

Watched this two weekends ago, then rewatched The Avengers last weekend. Wife and I may just send the kids to the grandparents next weekend and restart from Iron-Man and do an all MCU marathon ahead of Dr Strange.

Must have been on some depressed shit last week. One night on Netflix ran through these 3 documentaries:

Amanda Knox- possibly psychotic, sex-craved murderer. Also possibly not. Messed up story.
Audrie & Daisy- minors that were sexually abused and basically got s-shamed and left for nothing. Messed up story.
Witness- social examination of lady murdered in New York in front of 38 people that did nothing. Messed up story.

Going to go watch puppy videos on YouTube.

Science fiction futuristic psycho super heros version of the Dirty Dozen. I think Will Smith lowered his standard with this movie. The 3D effects were not that great. Nothing came off the screen, it was basically a poor version of a viewmaster.

Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn were the only good parts of the movie

Takes place after the TV show; and it is amazing how they assembled a new younger crew of relatives of the group in the original series. The ending looked like a party scene from MIB (i.e. lots of aliens). Be prepared for more Star Trek movies.

31: it was Halloween, I had to watch something with no Indians and a boring MNF game. So I tuned in to Rob Zombies latest. I really don't know what to say about it, honestly. I feel like it was either clever or terrible, but I still can't figure out which. He'd almost have to make a second one to explain half the shit that was completely unclear. It was vile and disturbing, of course (took 3 cuts to get down to an R) and Sheri Moon is still MILF-mania. The rest...eh fuck it, I don't know.

It really was one of the best pictures that I have seen this year. It reminded me of another movie that I really liked back in the early 70s, i.e. The Last Picture Show. The Last Picture Show wasn't a shoot them up show, it was just about a couple guys in a dirt poor West Texas town too.

Lights Out: Clever little concept for a ghost movie, light on gore but strong on jumps. Maria Bello is in it, I'd watch her read address labels, but I really like her ability to play disturbed women well, from SVU to History of Violence to this. Anyway, I liked it, and at an hour and 20 minutes, it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Worth a look.
