Loved this. Amazing cinematography & score, but this is just a given with a Kubrick film.

Call me crazy, but am I the only one who thinks Ryan O'Neal & Matthew Modine look stunningly similar when they were young? If this is already an established thing, so be it, but I'm firmly entrenched on this.

Also, virtually every BBC documentary I've seen on WWII has utilized the same music from this.

So laugh, but my wife and I were finally able to watch The Force Awakens. I won't beat to death a movie everyone else has seen, but I liked it for the most part. Not a big fan of Wren, too Hayden Christiansenesque for me, should have left the mask on, at least until the second movie. But I loved the chick, and of course all of the nostalgia.

I wasn't sold on Kylo after the first time I watched it either, TBH. But after getting it on Blu Ray and watching it a few more times, he's grown on me. I think you have to take into account his character hasn't completed his Sith training, so there's still that doubt in his own mind that he can be a bad ass. Some of the scenes where he shows his frustration by whipping out his sabre and just mauling whatever in front him was gold.

Not a movie, but a series. I recently discovered something called The Man in the High Castle. It's an Amazon Original series based off the book of the same name written in 1963. It's an alternative history series loosely summed up by saying it's about what if Germany/Japan had won WW2. Germans run the East Coast of the US and Japan runs the West Coast with there being a Neutral Zone in between them. It's a very interesting show. I've made it through 3 episodes as of now. Very compelling.

Thank you! I like particular types of shows and had never heard of this. From what I read it seems perfect to be something I would enjoy.

Baskin...OK, not exactly, I started watching it on a whiskey buzz last night, then realized it is in Turkish with subtitles. Whoops. Will try again tonight, I have heard a lot about it.

Watched "Brooklyn" last weekend with the wife. It was actually very good and a tolerable date movie.

Watched Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs today with my youngest (we watch horrible B movies together) and it was just bad. Watched Avalanche Sharks prior to that. Again, just bad. Not good bad, just bad.
