Even though I find NJ's banner post's, eternally annoying, and in some ways, probably counterproductive, I understand, and agree with the sentiment. If you want to be a part of this community, put some skin in the game. Part of the reason I am here, actually a big part of it, is that the fees that keep the site up are completely voluntary. I like voluntary. So should you and everyone else. As my financial situation improves, so will my donation, assuming that the site continues to meet my value vs. content expectations. Treat it like a magazine subscription. Seriously, you cant drop what you pay for Playboy annually?

I don't subscribe to magazines or websites (I did to Bill Greene's site for a few months but stopped) as a general rule. But the community here provides a tremendous value to my Buckeye fix. The recruiting information is awesome and the organization and general rules of the forums are second to none. You don't need to give a lot, but set up an auto donate from Paypal for $5 or $10 a month. Set it and forget it.

5/10 worth the rental I guess. Maybe I'm sensitive but I was not fond of...

the villains being military. I can separate my personal political values from entertainment but it just didn't sit well with me at the end.

Or a dollar.

Or better yet, buy stuff from Amazon (usually the cheapest price around) using the referral link and send BP money without actually giving them a dime. That is a great way to give back and very few people use it.

If you ever lose the link, just click on the forum link atop BP. Then on the right side click on the amazon link, madden or the GTA one. On a phone it will probably show up near the bottom after the list of sub forums.

Naturally there will be times where you find a desired item on Amazon before using a BP referral link. In that case add your item to the cart, go back and use a referral link, then check out on the same browser tab that you used to do the referral link.

Wyo.. frankly I don't like doing it... but when you've been drinking almost every day with 10 of your buddies... on a shared tab.. but only 2 of you EVER throw in any money... after a few YEARS do you speak up or continue to shut up... cuz if you don't say something... your buddies will continue to take advantage.. where you would MUCH RATHER they just man up without you ever saying a word.. maybe one is out of work, you let him ride till he's back...

There are 15000 members... but lets just say there are 1000 active users... if each member tossed in $3/month... this site would have plenty of money to pay it's bills and keep up with needed enhancements... instead as Jwins alluded... mere dozens are paying the entire tab and the coffers are not in good shape

The Purge: Anarchy....I know a lot of people on IMDB are saying they think it's better than the first but I completely disagree. I gave the first a 7.5/10 solely based on the idea itself. This last one though is closer to 5.5/10...lacked much development, didn't give as much 'gore' as one would expect based on the title and overall was just a bit too predictable.

In Bruges....I've seen this a few times now, still one of my favorite movies. Colin Farrell's best work in my opinion, a solid 8.5/10 movie

Session 9....another of my favorite suspense movies, plus David Caruso just seems like a cool dude. Asbestos abatement in an abandoned mental hospital? Great premise....if you have Netflix, give it a whirl on a late night and you won't regret it. 8.75/10

Heard. I just don't like that kind of marketing. But, I understand why you do it, and I respect that. This site is important to you. It is to me too. It should be to more people than contribute.

I don't like it either but the preferred approach isn't working.

I can fully relate to a tight budget, but at least try to use amazon. Less gas/time spent shopping, probably the cheapest price and Amazon gives BP at least 6% of what you spend. The % goes up based on quantity, so the more people we get buying ink, movies, groceries, home supplies, gifts, the more Amazon will give to BP for everything purchased that month.

So maybe you can't buy a TV like Joe Money bags did on July 2nd. But if you buy some cheap tiny things a few times a month it will get us closer to bumping up that referral rate on everything.

Note: If the price is comparable, please choose the seller with free or cheaper shipping. Amazon only pays BP for the purchase price, so a $8.19 + free shipping cell phone case is worth twice as much to BP as a $4 + $4.09 shipping case.

That just means there's nothing to think about, since 100% of the charge is earning a referral when you only want a $6 item. The advice is geared towards buying something from a third party where there are 3-4 nearly identical prices.

12.00+$6 shipping


BP makes around $1.25 for the first one vs 0.84 for the second.


The only thing BP does not make money on is subscribe and save. But don't skip a good deal to provide a referral, just find something else later to buy from amazon instead of Walmart, Kroger or CVS.

I'll try and send out another 100 bones tomorrow or Friday (my days off). With the amount of hard drive space I've wasted on this sever over the years, it's probably the only right thing to do. Somebody match me with a 5 or 10 spot, and I swear, I'll do a shot (or two) for you tonight!
