The Transformers.

Theater had beer (Arrogant Bastard Ale)

It was loud, it was an action movie, and it was perfect for a summer flick. Went into it not expecting anything of substance and wasn't let down.

I am interested in the JJ Abrams 1/18/08 movie (untitled) The trailer is interesting. My guess is that it is a Blair Godzilla Project based on what I saw. and have read.

I heard it's called Clover and not Godzilla, but alliens. Here's the website. Nothing really there yet.

Die Hard III. Best of the lot, except for the absurd stunts with a fighter plane in the last fifteen minutes. Willis did a good job of playing the character without over-playing the character.

I assume you mean Die Hard IV (Die Hard With a Vengeance was Die Hard III)

We saw it Saturday night. Serious suspension of disbelief, but hey, thats what Summer movies are for.

One of the things that does get me is that if they drop more than one f bomb it gets an R Rating, but with all that violence, it stays PG-13.

Die Hard V will see Jack Bauer, John Rambo and Jack Bauer team up vs Khan, Hannibal Lecter and a villian to be named later.

You are correct, sir. Only seen three of the four so IV was III for me. I kinda lost interest after the one with James Evans from Good Times as the villian. I think the bad guys in the next one should be an axis of evil comprised of Dick Van Patton, Schneider from One Day at a Time, the father from The Wonder Years, and Alan Thicke.

I don't know the cast from Die Hard II includes....

Dad from Good Times
Meat from Porky's
Sipowitz from NYPD Blue (with his pants on)
a likely presidential candidate (Fred Thompson)
John Leguizamo
Colm Meaney (engineer from one of the Star Trek shows)

Pretty cool cast imo...

I borrowed Cops Too Hot for TV 2- It was so stupid, it was actually funny.

I promised my daughters to take them to see the new BRATZ movie that comes out on August 3. I'm dragging CCI along for that one.

Went to a midnight showing of the new Harry Potter last night with the little niece & nephew (we would have gone even without them, and they both fell asleep real quick anyway). Very dark, new director Yates brings a whole different feel to the story, and he does a good job of squeezing a huge book into a reasonable length of a movie, using cool newspaper montages to get a lot of exposition out of the way. Very fun movie, great ending, can't wait to see the 6th in late '08.

The Departed

Disappointing. Based on the reviews I read in this thread, I was expecting a LOT more. IMO, just Resevoir Dogs with a more notable cast.

Watched Hitch last night. The dearth of sports on television left me woefully short of options for decent viewing.
