American History X on the FX channel. That was the first time I've seen it. I probably should've just rented it instead of ruining it by watching a watered down version.

FX was showing it again last night. Even with the watered-down version (I've never heard the word "bullspit" used so many times in my entire life ), it is one of the better films I've seen recently.

Not sure I really want to see the entirety of the curb scene, though. My stomach turns just imagining it. :sick1:

The Last Picture Show - actually only saw part of it. The good part. Enough to see a hot young Cybill Shepherd nekkid. I masturbated in black and white...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was a bit long, but very good.
This is the fifth movie in the series and ranks as one of the best.
Great story line. Fine acting. Great special effects. Some violence.
Worth your time. A fun but complex movie.

Harry Potter... Phoenix.

It was entertaining, but very disjointed and rushed, glossing over (or ignoring) crucial aspects of the story.

I seriously doubt a casual viewer understood the reason behind the opening [action schene], why voldemort wanted the [ball], snape's intentions, etc. Those seem like pretty big things to gloss over.

Why was the longest book turned into such a short movie? Too many corners were cut, imo. (two way mirror, ron & quidditch, dobby & room, etc).

The movie was too long..................
The movie was the shortest out of the 5. There was a lot that was great about the movie, but I noticed myself watching the movie too often during the 'fast forwarding' between scenes.

I just watched this movie as well, and absolutely agree with everything said here. The loss of Sirius Black at the end is also glossed over with no actual information about how that is so horrible for Harry (it being a portal he fell into, not Bellatrix actually killing him if I remember correctly.)
