Finally saw From Dusk Till Dawn.

One of the few "Tarantino" movies I've missed out on. Went into it with no expectations or even any idea what it was about. It's definitely an experience to be had, as Rob Rod movies usually are.

Just maybe the greatest table dance of all time!

I haven't seen the first Sherlock Holmes, but I figured with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law being the leading roles, it would be at least halfway decent. Plus Rachel McAdams....
You would think so but it was AWFUL.

Robert Downey Jr could have been perfect for this role in a much more serious and subdued version of the film, which as others have mentioned would have required a different director. I had also heard about a version in production with Sasha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell as Holmes and Watson, and I'd rather have seen that one too.

Sherlock Holmes..... Steamy Pile of ****

They could have done so much good with this movie and they missed in all regards!

agreed. it was over-the-top, witless, and incoherent.
Pretty much. I was unhappy with myself for recording it for free on TNT and for waiting 40 minutes before deleting it. That's how bad it was.

Just watched O Brother, Where Art Thou? last night for the umpteenth time. One of those movies you can never get enough of. Full of music you didn't know you liked, but find your toe tapping to anyway. Fun show. One I need to buy.

I disagree with all of you bout Sherlock Holmes...decent movie

I liked it as well. Made me smile when compared to the usual stuffy British representation of Detective Holmes. In some ways is actually closer to the source material. Holmes was a cocaine user & studied martial arts (baritsu/bartitsu) although Reichenbach Falls is much cooler in movie than literary form (or reality for that matter).
