Very enjoyable.

That's what I like to hear! Wasn't too sure if I wanted to see it in theater, or wait until RedBox carries it, but it seems like a solid movie.

I'm thinking about going and seeing Chernobyl Diaries tonight.

Saw Crooked Arrows last night. The lacrosse community had been making a pretty big deal about it as it's our first feature movie with our sport as the backdrop.

Basic story line: son comes home to the Rez to help expand the casino business. His father, one of the elders is against the idea. Tribal leaders strike a deal that the son must find his spirit before expanding. Father sets the rules. Father has son coach the Rez LAX team.

Mix in some bad news bears and a little mighty ducks and you know where it goes.

With seeing? Yeah, if you're a LAXer. The Native Americans involved in the movie have all said they are happy with how their story was represented. That makes me pleased. From a LAX perspective, it was fun. Acting was mediocre, but the movie was fun enough to get a pass.

Take the kids for a matin?e.

I also saw a little Australian/French Candian Indy picked up by Goldwyn called Black Robe. It is about a 17th century missionary from Quebec who attempts to convert the Huron to Christianity. It was really quite good, and I think that though the production value wasn't as high as, say, Dances with Wolves, I think the nuanced interaction between whites and Indians was much more realistic. Very good little flick.

Snow White and the Huntsman. Reviews are dead on. The way they tell the story isn't any good, no character development and then Kristen Stewart sinks the whole thing. It is worth watching to see the potential has but just barely, 5/10.

what was your response when, well, you know when?

I was somewhat familiar with the story going in from the news back in the day, so it wasn't as "shocking" to me from that direction...it was more the completely surreal images of...with... well, anyone who watched it knows what I am getting at.

Does it feature any Wendigo attacks?

Meh. Wrong sounding muppets. Lame original music. There were definitely some great moments (Sam working for Fox News was brilliant) and some great cameos, but it just doesn't stack up to the originals, In my IMO.

How could it possibly? I bet there wasn't a single bong or sheet of acid on the entire set for this one!

Project X.

I'm still young (26) and it took me back to highschool and what it was like (though they obviously went for it on a much bigger scale than I ever did). Nothing special but it was entertaining and funny - just a good party movie IMO.

Given the recent spate of zombie attacks I thought I'd go back and rewatch one of my favorites...

Zombie flicks were mostly silly fun rather than scary long before Shaun & Zombieland...Pontypool actually manages to convey a sense of fear.
