Will be interesting to see how it stacks up with the original Swedish version... Noomi Rapace was outstanding in the Swedish version

This. I really liked the Swedish films and hope that the Americanized version holds true.

I had the same feeling, but my sister-in-law thought the American version came very close to stacking up. I look forward to seeing it now.

Finally watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Thought it was really good, but I don't get why they didn't just missile the eff out of the forest in the end.......

Because the WWF (not the wrestling organization) wouldn't like that very much.

Just saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol today, and must say, I was pretty entertained. Loved the intro, with the different Bond intro effects/styles, and the theme is always catchy and great. Good story that kept me hooked, despite the relative predictability of it.

The last thing that I remember before falling asleep was Tom Cruise shooting a dart into some dude's neck in the back of a van after the prison break. I just want to add that the reason that I fall asleep during so many movies is because I often dine at a restaurant across the street from the theater and I tend to indulge in my share of spirits. I'd rather pay 10 bucks for a movie and fall asleep than get a DWI.
