It probably won't, it has 134 reviews and the movie is out. They generally don't change much (if at all) after release.

I'm only talking about a 5-10 point slide once the user reviews start to bulk-up.

I've seen it happen before on RT. I just can't handle Fast Five being currently rated higher than The Prestige (among other well acclaimed films).

I never pay attention to the user reviews, I was just referring to the critics.

I tend to go by composite scores on RT ("All Critics"). The "Top Critics" are mostly pandering for attention and blog hits, many of them rival Ebert in terms of spewing asinine bullshit for face-time. I mean, the "Top Critics" have movies like The Prestige at a 57%. While Fast Five has an 81%.

I typically agree with RT's overall scores for movies more than anywhere else, so it messes with my head that Fast Five can have a 4% edge on The Prestige, but then again most people don't use the same scale for every movie they see, so it's whatevs.

I haven't seen Fast Five yet, so if I do I may be surprised...but reading some of the reviews it seems as if people are not just satisfied with a mindless, predictable movie (which I would be), but are almost rewarding it for staying true to the series's formulaic shallowness and that's just a travesty to anyone who considers themselves a movie critic.
