I am watching this tonight on Blu-ray... anyone have any thoughts about it outside of scooter?

Stupid script with all the worst "trekisms" combined with the usual Hollywood stupid additions but which still managed to be entirely enjoyable by a cast that was obviously having a lot of fun.

J.J. Abrams needs to let the Robin Givins crush go.
James Tiberius Mother Fucking Kirk as a Beastie Boys listening 10 y/o car thief is all kinds of stupid.
Sylar is creepy.
Sulu's folding pocket katana = lame.
Simon Pegg was clearly drunk throughout filming.
Anton Yelchin seems to be under the impression that *Chekov was mentally retarded...which is a hard point to argue.
Karl Urban clearly thought they were doing a satire of Star Trek with his over the top performance...which is probably why it worked.
Kbayashi Maru - Worst payoff ever.

J.J. obviously wanted to do a Star Wars film but got stuck with Star Trek instead.

PS - In the future we'll build starships in Iowa cornfields without any industrial infrastructure at all.
