Second, I thought Morton Downy Jr. may have been miscast as a "super-hero" when I walked into the theater. I was dead wrong.

When Morton Downey was cast in this part alot of people thought it was perfect. This will grow more true (and ironic) as the next movies play out (or atleast that is the hope from the Ironman fans). Cuz part of the Ironman story is Stark battling himself and his addictions which makes Downey a very perfect fit for the role.

No wonder he's perfect for Iron Man - he's been dead for 7 years. :wink2:

Went and saw Ironman last night.

Really good, and fit the role perfectly. Pretty true to character also.

Also liked the end after the credits, along with little subtle other things that were hidden in the movie for hardcore comic book fans.

exactly, Comic Book Iron man had addiction problems which is why I thought Downey was a great fit.

He got rather built for the roll too, I was surprised at how well he did.

I also have a new found attraction to Gweneth Paltrow

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - wow, such a great film!! I watched this movie for the first time many years ago and wasn't impressed. Watched it again over the weekend and absolutely loved it. Could be in my top 10.

"Ironman" A bit disappointed. Had high hopes for a "Spiderman" type quality and it misses that. Guess it just proves how very good "Spiderman" really was. Downey was superb as Stark. Great choice and carried off the whole super hero/poor character transition thing. I think the movie needed more action and was slow at times. Thank you Stan Lee for a guest appearance and Cramer. :tongue2:
I'm ready for a sequel!

I might be the only (or one of very few) who did not like Spiderman. I saw the first two and was completely underwhelmed and haven't even bothered with the third.

'Charlie Wilson's War'. Saw it in theatres and enjoyed it so rewatched it on DVD. Phillip Seymour Hoffman might be my favorite actor. He is beyond awesome in this. The scene where he verbally destroys his boss is a must see for anyone with a pretentious asshole of a boss.

Having personally known a couple of the principals in that film I can say with all honesty...it kicks all kinds of ass.
