Jake Gyllenhall wore a scUM t-shirt and they were from New York. Now you really know this movie's full of it.

However, while he was wearing said t-shirt, his parents were on the phone discussing the fact that he failed calculus, so it's not completely unrealistic.

Watched Lost in Translation a few nights ago on cable. Not bad ... though I'm not sure what the hell it was about ... unless it was about nothing, in which case I understood it perfectly.

I watched it for the first time as well. I think the experience of being foreigners in Japan was supposed to be a metaphor for the characters disconnect from their spouses. Good soundtrack-Air,Jesus and Mary Chain,Roxy Music. I enjoyed the movie but I think a lot of critics went overboard in praising it. Having been to Tokyo for a week before, I will say that the film captures the feel of the place for an American visitor very well.

Saw Dr. Strangelove again. So damn funny, and Peter Sellers is so fucking brilliant. "No, mine Fuhrer" :slappy: The actor in the background who plays the Soviet ambassador is having a hard time trying not to laugh out loud while Sellers is fighting with his own hand.
