I sure hope not. Don't you hate it when any big time football school (not named Ohio State) gets a crappy coach and then fires him. examples; scUM fired DickRod, ND fired "fat Charlie", Florida fired Zooker, Alabama fired Mike Shula....the list goes on and on.

The good news is that the AD who put the noose around his neck and left him to coach is still the AD. Here is hoping his next choice reflects similar judgement.

USC's Silas Redd to undergo surgery for torn meniscus
The tailback, who was the Trojans' leading rusher last season, was injured during practice Thursday but is expected to be ready to play in the fall.

USC tailback Silas Redd, the Trojans' leading rusher last season, will have knee surgery Tuesday but will be ready to play in the fall, Coach Lane Kiffin said Saturday.
Redd suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee during practice Thursday. He attended Saturday's scrimmage at the Coliseum but was in sweats.

I wonder how they're taking this over on BWI....

Not necessarily..........Let's wait till this time next year Reply
I wish the kid had stayed and fought the battle with us but I understand his personal decision.
Let's see where he ends up in the draft and how his health is this time next year.

Seriously, we're back on this again? Let him go and just wish the kid well. No need to rehash it.
Yeah, well, the dude abides.

Lane's next career move?

http://www.youtube.com/kAek0ncObpk

He says nobody know how hard their band works....how hard is it to play the fight song after every play during the game? They could at least learn some new material.
Hey wait a minute, they play two songs! The fight song and that fucking "Entry of the Gladiators" movie bullshit. ' Course both make me sick, but it is two songs.

USC's Redd returning this week

For a guy who won't talk much about his quarterbacks, Lane Kiffin wasn't shy about updates with Trojans tailback Silas Redd. [Redd], who missed the team's season opener against the Hawaii Warriors, flew to Pensacola, Fla., to see Dr. James Andrews and is hoping to be back on the field this week. "We sent Silas there right before we left for Hawaii," Kiffin said Sunday. "He had a procedure done down there with Dr. Andrews and they felt positive about it and he's coming back today." Kiffin said he wasn't sure when Redd would be back on the field but added, "I hope this week." Redd suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee during spring practice and has missed most of USC's fall camp practices this month. He did not travel with the team to Hawaii.
